George W. Shotten, 84, of Keosauqua, died at 11:35 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating.
No visitation is planned.

George W. Shotten, 84, of Keosauqua, died at 11:35 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

Mr. Shotten was born Oct. 6, 1927, near Cantril, the son of Wylie and Opal Clouse Shotten.
Survivors include two brothers, Raymond Shotten of Ottumwa and Norman Shotten of Bloomfield; and two sisters, Madaline Nutt of Atkinson, Ill., and Mary Lou Meade of Hampton.
