AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is the nation?s largest, free, volunteer-run tax counseling and preparation service. Help is available for low- to moderate-income taxpayers ? especially those 60 and older.
Every volunteer tax counselor completes an IRS-developed training course in tax preparation and passes a test before giving assistance to the public. You do not need to be a member of AARP to use this service.
The complexity of the return determines whether or not a taxpayer can be served. Taxpayers are helped on a first come, first served basis.
