The Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce has named Golden Eagle Distributing the first quarter winner of the Mt. Pleasant Community Pride Award for exceptional property maintenance.
The award was announced to Golden Eagle Distributing during the January ?Alive After Five? networking event at the Weight Loss Center of Southeast Iowa on Jan. 6, 2016.
The Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors created the Community Pride Award to honor those businesses and organizations that showcase exceptional maintenance and investment in their properties and to encourage other businesses to follow their lead. Winners are selected quarterly. Golden Eagle was selected for the Community Pride Award among several nominees.
?Golden Eagle is very deserving of the Community Pride Award. Their facility, especially the clock tower, stand out to travelers on 218 and have been a wonderful addition to the Crossroads Industrial Park,? said Jean Spiesz, West Liberty Foods Human Resource Manager and Chamber Board Member.
?Golden Eagle is very proud to be a member of the great Mt. Pleasant community. Our remodeling is almost complete and we hope to host an ?Alive After Five? this summer,? said Shawn Schrepfer, District Manager of Golden Eagle Distributing Co. ?Thank you for helping make Budweiser number one in Mt. Pleasant.?
Chamber members wishing to nominate a business for future Community Pride Awards may do so by completing a form available at the Chamber Alliance office. Community Pride Award winners display a metal yard sign crafted by Mt. Pleasant business Signs and Designs.
