Great crowd turns out for Fairfield Women’s Club luncheon

FAIRFIELD – The Fairfield Women’s Club made history on Tuesday, March 18 by selling out of lasagna it had prepared for its luncheon at the McElhinny House.
Club member Mendy McAdams said the group had sold out of pie before but never lasagna in its 20-year history. The club as still tallying all its ticket sales, but informed The Union that it had delivered 160 meals and 60 carry-outs.
The group’s next event will be the Easter Bazaar at the McElhinny House on Friday, April 18. It will feature a bake sale, Easter baskets and Ham Balls made by the Garden Department, and Cadbury Egg Critters made by the Craft Department, all available for purchase.
Donations to the Fairfield Women’s Club are tax-deductible since the group is a 501(c)(3).
