Great weather for program
Sunday brought nearly a perfect day for witnessing the production of maple syrup. Under sunny skies and with temperatures hovering in the upper 50s, interested people gathered at the Dorothy Family Maple Syrup Camp at the Top of the Hill Shelter Area in Oakland Mills County Park.
Cari Nicely, county naturalist, explains how the tree is tapped and offers further information on the syrup process.
