Hatch drives the combine, bottom photo, during harvest while his son, Mike, drives the tractor pulling the wagons, top photo. In the spring, he prepares the ground, but lets Mike do the planting. Hatch said he has been farming his entire life, save for three-and-one-half years he spent serving his country as a Marine in World War II. Hatch said he plans to continue farming as long as he can.
