Hay barn fire
A hay barn two miles south of Washington caught fire and burned to the ground Tuesday afternoon. The fire occurred at 2785 Wayland Road at the home of Tim and Tamra Schrock. Washington, Brighton and Wayland fire departments put out the fire, which began around 3 p.m. Washington Assistant Fire Chief Craig Rembold said the barn contained mostly hay bales and a skidloader, which was lost in the fire. A hay barn two miles south of Washington caught fire and burned to the ground Tuesday afternoon. The fire occurred at 2785 Wayland Road at the home of Tim and Tamra Schrock. Washington, Brighton and Wayland fire departments put out the fire, which began around 3 p.m. Washington Assistant Fire Chief Craig Rembold said the barn contained mostly hay bales and a skidloader, which was lost in the fire. He said firefighters were at the scene for about six hours. No injuries were reported.
