Healthy Halloween Walk postponed

MT. PLEASANT - The Healthy Halloween Walk in Mt. Pleasant has been postponed until Oct. 25.

The event, hosted by Henry County Public Health, was originally scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 18, at East Lake Park but was pushed back a week due to rain and cold weather.

'We have worked hard to make this a fun and safe event, and we want people to be able to enjoy being outdoors,” Kelly Carr, Henry County Public Health community outreach coordinator, said of the decision.

The event will still take place at East Lake Park from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 25. Families and children older than 2 are encouraged to join the socially distancing, no-contact outing and walk through the park, which will feature educational booths.

Families can begin the walk at either the tennis courts or the softball diamond.
