Healthy Halloween Walk postponed until Nov. 1

MT. PLEASANT - The Healthy Halloween Walk has been postponed to Sunday, Nov. 1, due to forcasted rain and cold weather.

This is the second time the walk, which is hosted by Henry County Public Health, has been pushed back due to weather. The event, originally scheduled for Oct. 18, will take place at East Lake Park from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Families and children older than 2 are encouraged to join the socially distancing, no-contact outing and walk through the park, which will feature educational booths.

Families can begin the walk at either the tennis courts or the softball diamond.

'We have worked hard to make this a fun and safe event, but we also have to look out for everyone's health and making these decisions isn't easy,” Kelly Carr, community outreach coordinator for Henry County Public health, said.
