Hedrick man charged with arson

HEDRICK ? The Wapello County Sheriff?s Office arrested a Hedrick man Friday who has been charged with two counts of arson.

At approximately 11:20 p.m. that day, deputies from the Wapello County Sheriff?s Department with the assistance of investigators from the Iowa State Fire Marshal?s Office arrested Alexander Garbiel Krauss, age 18, of 13011 120th Ave., Highland Place, Hedrick.

Krauss has been charged with two counts of arson in the first degree relating to two fires that occurred at his own residence Friday.

Agencies assisting in the investigation were the Hedrick Fire Department, the Wapello County Rural Fire and the Ottumwa Fire Department .

Krauss is being held in the Wapello County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
