Helena Hayes re-elected to Iowa House in uncontested race

Republican Helena Hayes sailed to victory on Tuesday, Nov. 5, in her bid to be re-elected to the District 88 seat in the Iowa House of Representatives.
The Democrats did not field a candidate in the race, allowing Hayes to capture 12,074 of the 12,357 votes cast. Hayes, of New Sharon, will start her second term as an Iowa House Rep in January.
