Hemlock Avenue closed west of Fairfield
The Iowa Department of Transportation?s Mount Pleasant construction office has announced the closure of Hemlock Avenue west of Fairfield beginning today.
Work associated with the bridge construction project over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad requires the closure of Hemlock Avenue 3 miles west of Fairfield between old and new U.S. 34 to allow contractors to prepare the west approach of the bridge for new

The Iowa Department of Transportation?s Mount Pleasant construction office has announced the closure of Hemlock Avenue west of Fairfield beginning today.
Work associated with the bridge construction project over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad requires the closure of Hemlock Avenue 3 miles west of Fairfield between old and new U.S. 34 to allow contractors to prepare the west approach of the bridge for new paving.
Filbert Avenue and Jefferson County road V-64 will remain open for use during the project.
The project is expected to be completed Sept. 8, weather permitting, according to the D.O.T. Mount Pleasant construction office.
