MT. PLEASANT - Henry County Attorney Darin Stater has submitted a letter of resignation to the Board of Supervisors.
The letter, submitted on Feb. 3, announced that, as of Feb. 9, he would leave his position with the county. This comes hot on the heels of the resignation of Blake Vierra, the Deputy Attorney. Vierra announced his resignation less than a month previously, on Jan. 8.
The Henry County Attorney declined to comment on the nature of the resignation, or the contents of the letter. Robin Detrick, the County Auditor, cited Stater’s current status as an employee. Anything from his record, Detrick said, would be off-limits to the public until his resignation took effect on Feb. 9.
