MT. PLEASANT - Henry County Public Health has updated their website to provide more details about services they provide, important health topics, and new public resources.
As well as an online version of the Directory of Community Services guide, there are now local resource pages focused on behavioral health, food, healthcare access, and safe disposal of medicines. Health topics highlighted on the website include cancer prevention, respiratory illnesses, healthy eating, and physical activity. The home page now can display health alerts, as well as Public Health news and events.
“We wanted to make our website easier for people to navigate and provide more information about the services that we provide and the health topics that are of concern to our community,” said Kelly Carr, Community Outreach Coordinator. “We added the resource pages to cover some areas that we know people struggle with, such as finding health insurance or knowing who to call when someone is in crisis.”
To visit the site, go to HealthyHenryCounty.org. The page is also available in Spanish, Filipino, Lao, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, and simplified Chinese. Henry County Public Health is also updating the Directory of Community Services guide. They hope to release the new version sometime this winter.
