Henry County receives state CARES Act funds

MT. PLEASANT - Henry County will receive $252,978.95 in reimbursements through the Iowa COVID-19 Local Government Relief Fund received through the CARES Act.
The county's application, approved last Monday, was based on submitted payroll costs for public health and public safety employees for services dedicated to mitigating or responding to the COVID-19 public health emergency.
The fund allocates money to local governments, based on population, for direct expenses incurred in response to the pandemic.
