Truck rolls twice after avoiding deer

Cary Brown, no age given, of Brighton was northbound on Franklin Avenue when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer. The incident occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m., Nov. 23 near 150th Street.

After swerving, the vehicle entered the west ditch where it rolled twice.

Brown was transported to the Henry County Health Center for treatment of his injuries.

Damage to the truck was estimated at $1,500. No citations were issued.

Out of state warrant executed

On Thanksgiving Day, at approximately 8:18 p.m., Henry County Sheriff?s deputies arrested a man. Luis Diaz, 35, of Mt. Pleasant was arrested on a Minnesota arrest warrant for contempt of court on a violation of a no-contact order.

Van strikes deer near Salem Stub

The Henry County Sheriff?s Office was notified of a car accident involving a deer at 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 25. The accident happened just south of the Salem Stub on Highway 218.

Michael Rung, no age given, of Ft. Madison struck a deer with his 2005 Chevrolet van.

Rung, who was travelling alone, reported no injuries at the scene. Damages to the van were estimated at $3,000.

Music too loud in New London

An early morning noise complaint in New London was investigated Nov. 27.

At approximately 4:17 a.m. a noise complaint was received in the 400 block of West Madison Street, New London.

The music had been turned down prior to arrival of the deputies and a resident in the house was spoken to about the complaint.
