Henry County snow removal bid accepted

The Henry County Board of Supervisors accepted a bid from Big Creek Contracting to handle snow removal at county buildings around Mt. Pleasant.

This is the second two-year contract with Big Creek Contracting.

The snow removal contract is broken down into four separate sites with price rates in each section.

Site one includes the county courthouse and the old sheriffs' office.

To push snow, it's $75, and to lay down salt and sand, it will cost $150.

Site number two is the human services location.

It will cost $50 to push snow in this area and $60 to distribute salt and sand.

The third and fourth sites included in the bid are the public health building and Henry County Emergency Management. The pricing in these two sections is the same as the first.

The cost will be $75 for snow work and $150 for salt and sand.

If any salt should be removed from either of the sites, it will cost $175 per hour.
