MT. PLEASANT — The Henry County Board of Supervisors approved the sale of several county-owned parcels of land in the former township of Mount Union.
With most of the parcels receiving only one bid per parcel the bidding went without conflict. In fact, all parcels that were up for sale were sold to the bidders.
The parcels of land — roads that were identified on maps but never built — became county-owned after the city of Mount Union disbanded in 2016.
The roads sold include Kneen street and Lehew Street where portions of those roads and alleys were sold to the highest bidder Tuesday morning.
Some of the parcels sold for as low as $20.
