MT. PLEASANT — The Henry County Board of Supervisors postponed its decision on selecting an insurance agent for next year. They are faced with a decision between Gamrath-Doyle-Vens insurance and Hubbard International Insurance.
The county has been with Vens insurance for around 30 years but is considering a switch Hubbard that would offer a different philosophy from Vens Insurance and would offer advice to the county on its best savings.
However, the supervisors emphasized that the insurance would be the same simply changing who is advising them.
Hubbard international stated that they were not given the ICAP or the state insurance rates offers for 2021 and could not completely set up an offer package.
The supervisors decided to delay the decision until they could get Hubbard International all of the information to complete the quote.
