The Washington Police Department had not released the names of three suspects in a lunch time robbery at the West Chester Savings Bank before press time.
Washington County Sheriff Jerry Dunbar confirmed this afternoon that three suspects had been taken into custody, but referred any further questions on the robbery to the Washington Police Department. Investigator Lyle Hansen hadn?t returned phone calls before press time.
The West Chester Savings Bank was closed shortly before 12:30 p.m. A sign on the front door reported that the bank was closed. A sign underneath that had the words ?All Clear.? Senior Vice President James Millward confirmed there had been a robbery and reported everyone in the bank was safe. He also said that no customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery.
?We just want to say everyone is safe,? he said.
He referred other questions to the police.
