Highland FFA hosting pancake breakfast
Feb. 22, 2022 10:48 am
The Highland FFA is giving back to the community this February by hosting a Community Pancake Breakfast. We encourage everyone to come! Breakfast starts at 7 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, and will end when the school day starts at 8:15.
For breakfast, there will be pancakes, eggs, sausage and drinks. Dine-in at the Highland High School cafeteria or drive-up to for curbside pickup/carryout! All dine-in food will be served in the High School cafeteria, where you can get a to-go box or eat right here at the school. We hope to see you there!
This is the Highland FFA’s first year hosting this Community Pancake Breakfast. The chapter, which was only chartered in 2018, has picked the theme of FFA week to be “Give Back.”
Give Back means to the community, to the teachers, and to the staff who help the students at Highland every day. A healthy and great way to start the day is by eating breakfast. Throughout the year, the community helps the Highland FFA with other events and activities through donations and sponsorship, and this February, we wanted to return the favor.
“Highland Community Schools and the communities of Riverside and Ainsworth are very close-knit communities,” said Chapter President Mackinze Hora. “We wanted to give back by providing this breakfast and we are excited to see the turnout.”
If there are any questions about the breakfast, contact FFA adviser, Gina Trower at gtrower@highlandhuskies.org. For the drive-up and carryout options, the doors on the north side of the high school are going to be used. There will be signs directing drivers as well. We hope to see you there!
