Hills bank donates to area schools
WASHINGTON — Hills Bank announced Tuesday that its latest round of Classroom Cash donations totaled over $8,000, split between Highland Mid-Prairie, and Washington School districts, as well as Hillcrest Academy and St. James Catholic School.
The program allows participating debit card holders to earn contributions to their school districts whenever they make a purchase, according to the bank.
“There is no cost to you,” the business said in a news release. “It’s a great way for us to make a difference in our community schools — together.”
Hills Bank said the program had generated a total of $1.41 million since its launch in 2004. This year, the contributions to each district were:
- Highland: $1,327.62
- St. James: $424.61
- Washington: $1,404.06
- Mid-Prairie: $4,184.45
- Hillcrest: $726.93
