Hillsboro man charged with assault

A Hillsboro man was charged with assault after threatening another man with a knife on Thursday, May 30, around 1:50 p.m.
Robert Chasteen, 25, of Hillsboro, was charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor, and criminal mischief, a simple misdemeanor after threatening another man with a knife in the 100 block of North State Street in Hillsboro. No injuries were reported.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office responded to the call.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
