The Kermit and Janet Hinshaw children, Emily Emonin, Korwin Hinshaw and Sallie Hayes are donating a recently completed shelter building in the Richland town square in memory of their parents. The children are hosting a special event in the structure to dedicate it at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 11. All friends of the Hinshaw family and Richland are invited to attend.
A meal, dedication ceremony and evening family movie, popcorn and all, are planned. The public is invited to come for the meal and stay for the movie.
Korwin has previously told The Ledger that his father was an entrepreneur who started multiple businesses in Richland including a Phillips gas station, a restaurant and a propane plant. After Richland?s shelter was torn down, the Hinshaw children donated $60,000 to build a new shelter and kitchen for the community.
