Hit and run
A car accident was reported just before 8 a.m. Aug. 7. It was found that a 1999 Mercury Sable owned by Roberta Murdock was legally parked in the 1100 block of East Monroe on the north side of the street.
An unknown vehicle side-swiped the Murdock vehicle between midnight and 5:30 a.m. The unknown vehicle transferred white paint onto the Murdock vehicle. Damages are estimated at $400.
