Holiday prompts closures
Many area businesses, financial institutions and government offices will be closed Friday in observance of Veterans Day.
No mail will be delivered. The Fairfield Ledger will, however, be published.
Garbage collection and curbside recycling collection will not be affected.
The Fairfield Public Library will be closed for staff development. The Roosevelt Community Recreation Center also will be closed.

Fairfield schools will be in session; however, Van Buren County schools will not be.
City, county, state and federal offices will be closed.
Senior meal sites will be closed.
Patrons may want to call ahead to check on schedules.
