Homegrown tomatoes
Virginia Kopp holds up a nearly perfect tomato with no blemishes and perfectly ripe as she harvested from the family tomato patch. The vines were planted May 11 and are just starting to yield. Kopp said she cans juice, stew, salsa and anything else you can do with tomatoes. ?We?ve been watering them,? she added, which allowed for the good condition of the plants.
