Homeowners should check for Homestead Tax Credit
Jefferson County Assessor Sheri Blough reminds property taxpayers to check with her office to see if they have signed up for Iowa?s Homestead Tax Credit. All residents living in a home they own are eligible.
The next installment of property taxes are due at the end of the month, penalties begin April 1.
Call the county assessor?s office at 472-2849 during business hours to ask if already signed up.
