Hope L. Lox, 50, of Keokuk, and formerly of the Burlington and Gladstone, Ill. areas, died on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at her residence in Keokuk.

Hope L. Lox, 50, of Keokuk, and formerly of the Burlington and Gladstone, Ill. areas, died on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at her residence in Keokuk.
According to her wishes, the DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center, 917 Blondeau St., in Keokuk, has been entrusted with her cremation. A time of visitation with the family present will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at the Kimzey Funeral Home, located at 213 N. Main St., in Mt. Pleasant.

Lox was born on Aug. 19, 1966, in Burlington, the daughter of Irvin Eugene and Beverly Mae (Roberts) Lox. She graduated from Union High School, in the Gladstone, Ill. area. She was married to Kelley Hummell. The couple later divorced.
She was a longtime homemaker.
She was of the Christian faith.
She enjoyed riding horses, crocheting, cooking, gardening and reading.
Lox is survived by her two sons, Tommy Joe Hummell, of Hillsboro; and Derek Throckmorton, of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Darcy Pence, of McComb, Ill.; and one granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Dinna Lox.
