Dozens attended the grand opening ceremony for the HUB Saturday afternoon, a new community center named with an acronym — Helping U at Brighton.
Mayor Melvin Rich cut the Grand Opening ribbon at the front door Sept. 13. Several Brighton Area Ministerial Association pastors attended and BAMA president Pastor Ryan Dexter dedicated in prayer the building and programs. Guests then enjoyed a tour of the facility, cookies from Sweet Blessings, and the acoustic music of the Alice Menne Gospel Group.
HUB president Pastor Rick Zickefoose thanked all attendees. He also shared an invitation to next Saturday’s HUB-sponsored event on Sept. 20 from 3-5 at the City Brighton Park to thank longtime Brighton First Responder Wayne Gould who is retiring. Ice cream will be served. All are welcome.
