Air Force Airman First Class Tyler R. Hummell-McGuire graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas and earned distinction as an honor graduate.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
He is the son of Joni Hummell of Mt. Pleasant.
He is a 2004 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. He earned a bachelor?s degree in 2009 from Iowa Wesleyan College, Mt. Pleasant.
