Hydrant flushing in Fairfield starts Tuesday
The Fairfield Water Department will begin its semi-annual hydrant flushing Tuesday.
The flushing will begin in the northeast quadrant of the city, continuing counter-clockwise and ending in the southeast corner.
Before the flushing begins, the water department will switch to free chlorine to the distributed water. It will use free chlorine for about two months.
