IA 92 to close for seven months
IA 92 will close for construction March 18-Oct. 29
AINSWORTH — Beginning Monday, March 18, the section of IA 70 between Ainsworth and Columbus Junction will be closed for construction work.
According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, IA 92 between U.S. 218 and IA 70, near Columbus Junction, will be closed in both directions as they begin road construction.
The closure is anticipated to last from 7 a.m. March 18 until 1 p.m. Oct. 29 and vehicles will be directed to a detour during this time. The detour will take motorists north on 218 to 220th Street/G36 near Crawford Pond. They will travel east to x17 past Eden Park until they connect once again with IA 92. This will likely add close to 10 minutes to commutes.
