Illinois man faces another charge in Iowa
A 36-year-old Illinois man already accused of stalking, domestic abuse and other crimes has been charged with extortion in Iowa.
Jeffrey Graves, of Moline, Ill., has been held in Scott County Jail since May 23. Prosecutors say the new charge stems from Graves threatening a person who Graves wanted to pass messages to Graves? former girlfriend. She has a no-contact order on him.

A 36-year-old Illinois man already accused of stalking, domestic abuse and other crimes has been charged with extortion in Iowa.
Jeffrey Graves, of Moline, Ill., has been held in Scott County Jail since May 23. Prosecutors say the new charge stems from Graves threatening a person who Graves wanted to pass messages to Graves? former girlfriend. She has a no-contact order on him.
Court records say the woman told a Davenport detective that Graves had held her against her will in May and assaulted her. The woman also says Graves threatened to kill her by injecting her with drain cleaner and threatened to cut off her children?s heads.
Graves? attorney, Pat Kelly, declined to comment on Friday.
