Immanuel Lutheran Church thankful for help after fire
Three weeks ago, our Lord in His divine providence allowed the broken and fallen world to strike our church building with lightning to test and strengthen our faith in Christ.

Three weeks ago, our Lord in His divine providence allowed the broken and fallen world to strike our church building with lightning to test and strengthen our faith in Christ.
Through the God-given vocations of our neighbors, the Lord has and continues to bless our congregation. The members of Immanuel Lutheran Church would like to heartily thank our community.
Thank you to:
? The person or people who reported the fire before it got out of control.
? The Fairfield and Libertyville firemen who responded so quickly and dutifully served to keep the fire damage confined to the roof. (If you are a fireman, thank you for your service! If you aren?t a fireman, take the time to thank one!)
? All the emergency services who assisted the firemen in their work late into the night.
? The community of Fairfield for their concerns and thoughts.
? Our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ from Fairfield?s faith community for your prayers and offers of assistance.
Several people made it possible for Immanuel to not miss worship for even one Sunday and for MDO Preschool and Immanuel Pre-K to resume classes the next week: the cleaning crew from L. J. Roth Restoration for cleaning the south end of our building in three days; Word of Life Lutheran Church for supplies so that the gifts of Christ could be offered that first Sunday; Faith Lutheran Church, Mount Pleasant for lending us hymnals so our praise of the Lord could go on; Ryan Reiner of Squeal Good BBQ and Shawna and Ryan Porter for supplying food for the work crews those first days; and Hy-Vee for fellowship supplies. Thank you!
While people struggle with such events of life, we know that God?s divine purpose is eternal salvation in Jesus Christ. Thus, with faith in Jesus ?We know that all things work together for good to those who love God?? (Romans 8:28).
