In honor of National American Education Week, Fairfield Community School District is spotlighting elementary students today. At Lincoln Elementary, students were learning under a new teacher for at least one period of the day as teachers switched classes. Taryn Ryan, who teaches kindergarten, switched with third grade instructor Deanna Hutchings. To reinforce what the kindergartners had been learning, Hutchings had the students making circles of marshmallows and rectangles out of pretzels.
