Mt. Pleasant High School?s show choir, InMotion, completed its season Saturday night, finishing as first runner-up in the finals at the Red Carpet Gala at West Delaware High School in Manchester. Mt. Pleasant High School?s show choir, InMotion, completed its season Saturday night, finishing as first runner-up in the finals at the Red Carpet Gala at West Delaware High School in Manchester. InMotion also received a caption award for best vocals. Brianne Hotkamp was named Best Female Vocalist and Garrett Carlston Best Male Vocalist during the daytime session in which InMotion finished second in Class 3A. The above photo was taken during the West Delaware competition.
In other competition during the season, InMotion was first in Class 3A at Keokuk and finished fourth in the finals. Philip Schroetter?s choir was second in Class 3A and qualified for the finals at the Pella Invitational; first in Class 3A and third in the finals at the Ft. Madison Invitational; and second in Class 3A and second in the finals at the Dutch Masters Invitational in Pella. Carlston and Holtkamp also received outstanding male and female, respectively, soloist awards at both competitions in Pella.
