FAIRFIELD - Central Parking Furnishings on the west side of the Fairfield square will host an art exhibit for three months featuring pieces from across the globe.
The exhibit is called “The International Small Works Show,” and will feature over 300 pieces from roughly 120 artists from all over, with about 28-30 from the local community, 18-19 from across the country, and 73 from outside the U.S., with 28 countries represented. The exhibit will open on Nov. 1 and remain up until Feb. 8. The exhibit will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, with additional hours on special occasions.
The exhibit is being spearheaded by Stacey Kitakis, who founded Fairfield First Fridays Art Walk in 2002 and has a long history of bringing artwork here from other countries.
“By bringing together handmade works from across the globe, we honor world traditions while reminding visitors of Fairfield’s many artists and our active arts scene,” she said.
