Burlington police say a preliminary investigation shows an Illinois man was fatally shot with the gun he?d used to shoot his girlfriend.
A department news release issued Thursday sheds more light on last week?s shooting on the front porch of a Burlington home.
Police say 22-year-old Terrell Miller and 28-year-old Jacqueline Williams, both of Macomb, Ill., were in Burlington on March 16 to visit friends.
Police say Miller shot Williams once in the forehead while the two were arguing. The pair then struggled for the gun. Police say Williams got control of it and shot Miller several times in the head.
Miller died at the scene. Williams was taken to a hospital and has been released.
Police say the investigation is continuing. No arrests have been reported.
