Iowa Women?s Foundation accepting proposals for 2014 grants

The Iowa Women?s Foundation is accepting grant proposals for its annual grant-giving cycle for projects that begin on Jan. 1, 2014 or later.

The foundation is seeking applications for projects that advance economic security and/or promote leadership opportunities for Iowa women and girls. The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. May 31.

All projects applying for funding from the IWF must be specifically for women and/or girls in Iowa. Informal groups of women and/or girls, grassroots organizations and formal not-for-profit organizations may apply for funding.

All proposed activities must be not-for-profit in nature. The IWF seeks to fund projects that go beyond the provision of direct services to create underlying social change. Together, a stronger statewide network of services for Iowa women and girls can be built. During the past 17 years, IWF has awarded more than $300,000 in grants to 102 projects in more than 65 counties throughout Iowa.
