Iris to be temporarily closed Friday

Iris Street will be closed tomorrow (Fri.) morning at 7 p.m., according to Warner Engineering Associates, Inc., the engineering firm for the project.

The street will be closed to work on storm sewer installation along the west side of Iris Street. Iris will be closed from 150 feet north of Washington Street to the south side of Monroe Street.

The Monroe and Iris streets intersection will remain open and not be closed until the contractor has storm sewer installed to the intersection.

Iris Street will be reopened at 5 p.m. Friday for the weekend and will be closed again Monday, April 13, at 7 a.m.

The 7-10-day forecast calls for 60-80 percent chance of rain April 14-16 which will affect the construction work.
