IW men fall to Culver-Stockton
The Tigers led after one, but couldn’t keep pace

CANTON, MISSOURI— Iowa Wesleyan was defeated by the Wildcats 77-72.
The Tigers came out of the gates firing on all cylinders, especially freshman Joey Brown. Brown scored the first six points of the game for Iowa Wesleyan.
In the first half, the Tigers build a lead as large as 11 points. The Wildcats; however, would battle back late in the half to cut the Tigers lead to 40-34.
Iowa Wesleyan held the lead until just under nine minutes left to play.
The two teams traded leads back and forth throughout the fourth quarter, but the Wildcats did just enough to take the win.
For the Tigers, Kaleb Cresswell led in scoring with 21 points, while shooting 5-9 from three. Cresswell also had 3 assists and 3 rebounds.
Brown finished the contest with 13 points and 5 rebounds.
Marvin Bateman added 9 points off the bench.
The Tigers finished the night shooting 40% from the field and 35% from three.
In their next matchup, Iowa Wesleyan will stay home and face off against Hannibal-LaGrange University on Dec. 8 at Ruble Arena. The game is set to start at 7 p.m.
