IW men fall to Valley City
Tigers struggle in second half against the Vikings

FOREST CITY — Stellar shooting in the first-half, to a struggling second. It was the tale of two halves for the Iowa Wesleyan men in their 91-76 loss at Valley City State University.
The Tiger’s started the game just about as good as they could have hoped. They held the lead for the vast majority of the first half, leading by as much as 10.
By the end of the second quarter, the Vikings cut into the Tigers’ lead. The Tigers went into the locker-room leading 45-44.
At the start of the second half, the two teams fought for the lead, but it was the Valley City State who would come out on top.
Midway through the second half, the Vikings took the lead and never gave it up.
The Tigers shooting was stellar in the first half. The shot 56.7% from the field and 55.6% from the three point line. In the second half, Iowa Wesleyan shot 35.5% from the field and 31.3% from three.
Kaleb Cresswell lead the Tigers in scoring with 22 points. He also had 4 rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Dylan Hurley finished with 16 points for Iowa Wesleyan. He shot 4-6 from three, while also tallying 6 rebounds.
Victor Munoz scored 10 points, as well as 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
In the Tigers’ next match-up, they will take on William Penn University on Saturday, Nov. 20 at Ruble Arena. The game is slated to start at 3 p.m.
