IWC volleyball competes at Pumpkin Bash

The Iowa Wesleyan College volleyball team went 0-4 at the Augustana College Pumpkin Bash over the weekend.
The Tigers faced Simpson College and Buena Vista University on Friday night and then took on William Penn University and host Augustana College on Saturday.
The Tigers fell to Simpson College on Friday night in four sets. After winning the first set 25-22, the Tigers lost the next three sets (25-14, 25-14 and 25-13). Later in the evening, the Tigers struggled against Buena Vista as they lost in three straight sets (25-11, 25-11 and 25-15).
On Saturday, the Tigers fought hard in both matches but came up empty handed. They were defeated by William Penn in three sets (25-22, 25-21 and 25-8).
Against the host Vikings, the Tigers battled hard but couldn't come away with a win as they again lost in three sets (25-23, 25-18 and 25-17).
The Tigers were led by Sidney Rudolph and Elizabeth Guzman, who each had seven kills for the Tigers against the Vikings.
Lacie Tarver had three aces in the match against the Vikings, while Chelsey Taylor recorded 21 assists.
The Tigers return to action on Wednesday, Oct.31, in their last match of the season. The Tigers will head to Clinton to take on Ashford University.
The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
