Jacqueline Sue Harper Winton, 81, of Oklahoma City, Okla., died on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Epworth Villa.
Graveside inurnment will be held on Saturday, July 30, at 11 a.m., at Burge Cemetery, in rural New London. The service will be officiated by Rev. Kathleen Moore. Family will receive friends at Elliott Chapel, in New London, immediately following the service, where light refreshments will be served.

Jacqueline Sue Harper Winton, 81, of Oklahoma City, Okla., died on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Epworth Villa.
Graveside inurnment will be held on Saturday, July 30, at 11 a.m., at Burge Cemetery, in rural New London. The service will be officiated by Rev. Kathleen Moore. Family will receive friends at Elliott Chapel, in New London, immediately following the service, where light refreshments will be served.
Winton was born on Aug. 17, 1934, in Mt. Pleasant, the eldest daughter of Jack and Mary Harper, of New London. After graduating from New London High School in 1952, she received a teachers certificate from Iowa Wesleyan College and a B.A. in Education at the University of Iowa in 1957. She moved to Anchorage, Ala., where she met and married Jack Lee Winton, of Tahlequah, Okla., in 1958. In 1968, she received a M.Ed. at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
She worked in public education for nearly 20 years in schools in Iowa, Alaska, Arkansas and Oklahoma. She retired in 1996.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, in Oklahoma City, Okla.
She enjoyed reading.
Winton is survived by her sister, Diane Kay Harper, of Newton; her children, Harper and Sallee Winton, of Tulsa Okla.; Mitch Winton, of Austin, Texas; Vince Winton, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Wendy and Scott de la Garza, of Edmond, Okla.; and several grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
