James ?Jim? Hollis Pitzer, 98, formerly of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Prescott Valley, Ariz., died in Mesa, Ariz., on May 3, 2017.
A Celebration of Life for both Jim and his wife, Marilyn, will be held at the Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral Home Bradshaw Chapel, 8480 East Valley Road, Prescott Valley, Arizona, on May 21, 2017, at 10:30 a.m.

Pitzer was born on Jan. 7, 1919, in Mt. Union, the son of Hollis and Ruby (Forbes) Pitzer. He joined the United States Navy in 1944, as a ship repair welder and served, Petty Officer 2nd Class, until the end of World War II. In 1960, he married Marilyn Gloria Robertson. He retired in 1979.
He enjoyed traveling, stained glass art and oil painting.
Pitzer is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Keeton, of Redfield; a son, Tony Pitzer, of Apache Junction, Ariz.; a sister, Kathleen Kennedy, of Yorkville, Ill.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marilyn Gloria; a sister, Sydna Lorraine Crone; his sons, Rodney Thomas Robertson and Donald Eugene Robertson; and a daughter, Sharon Pitzer Hunter.
