Janet M. (Oldt) Butterfield, 64, of Allen, Texas and formerly of Mt. Pleasant, Dubuque, and Geneseo, Ill., died on Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at the Presbyterian Hospital, in Allen, Texas.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 North Main Street, in Mt. Pleasant. Rev. Deborah J. Stowers, of First United Methodist Church, in Mt. Pleasant, will officiate. ...

Janet M. (Oldt) Butterfield, 64, of Allen, Texas and formerly of Mt. Pleasant, Dubuque, and Geneseo, Ill., died on Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at the Presbyterian Hospital, in Allen, Texas.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 North Main Street, in Mt. Pleasant. Rev. Deborah J. Stowers, of First United Methodist Church, in Mt. Pleasant, will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakland Mills Cemetery, in rural Mt. Pleasant. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m., on Friday, at the funeral home. The family will be present to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., on Friday. An additional family visitation and memorial prayer service will be held at 3 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at the Suncreek United Methodist Church, in Allen.

Butterfield was born on July 3, 1952, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of F. Richard and Pauline Evelyn (Breazeale) Oldt. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1970, and was conferred with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Dubuque. On April 6, 1974, at the Oakland Mills Community Church, in rural Mt. Pleasant, she was united in marriage to William Roland ?Bill? Butterfield.
She worked as a Certified Public Accountant in Geneseo, Ill., in the accounting department of Heatilator Manufacturing, and then for 15 years, worked at the Hammond Henry Hospital, in Geneseo. For some time, she was also involved in public accounting with the United Way Agencies, and worked as a CPA with Home Health Services and Jewish Family Services, of Dallas.
She was a member of the Suncreek United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed bird watching, gardening and bicycling.
Butterfield is survived by her husband, Bill, of Allen, Texas; two sons, Kyle (Lindzy) Butterfield, of Newport Beach, Calif.; and Joel Butterfield, of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, Gary (Nicola) Oldt, of Mt. Pleasant; and two sisters, Sharon Oldt, of Oelwein; and Thea (Robert) Carufel, of Mesa, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
