FAIRFIELD – Jefferson County Engineer DeWayne Heintz has announced that a pair of bridges in the county will close on Tuesday, March 1, and another will close on April 4.
One of the two bridges that will close Tuesday is on 146th Boulevard between Walnut Avenue and Willow Boulevard, east of Germanville in the northeast part of the county. That bridge will be replaced, and construction is expected to last about two months, weather permitting.
The other bridge that will be closed starting Tuesday is on 175th Street, west of Maharishi Vedic City. That bridge, being replaced with a concrete culvert, should take about one month to construct.
The bridge that will be closed starting April 4 is on 257th Street, south of Fairfield. Construction on the new bridge is expected to last about two months.
