On Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 5:30 p.m., Jefferson County Right to Life will mark the beginning of the Fall 40 Days for Life campaign by placing memorial crosses on the lawn of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
According to organizer Karen Crossland of Jefferson County Right to Life, the crosses represent “the preborn babies lost to abortion.”
Immanuel Lutheran Church is located at 1601 S. Main Street in Fairfield. Participants are asked to wear gloves and bring a rubber mallet or hammer.
Following the placement of the crosses, at 6:30 p.m., a program entitled “Compassionately Responding to Suffering” will be given by Dr. Chrissie Gillet, director of the Word of Hope Hotline Ministry. A love offering will be taken. Refreshments will be served.
For questions, call Pastor Mark Brase, 641-472-5333; Jill Watson, 641-919-6841; or Karen Crossland, 641-919-9037.
