Jensen to receive Walt Fiegel Award tonight

The Walt Fiegel Coaching with Character Award will be presented by the Iowa Football Coaches Association (IFCA) to former Mt. Pleasant football coach and activities director Bob Jensen at the halftime of the Class 4A championship football game tonight (Friday).
The award honors an individual who embodies the high character, integrity, concern for kids, and service to the profession that were modeled by Coach Fiegel.
Jensen retired in the spring after a 40-year coaching and teaching career that included 24 seasons as the Mt. Pleasant head football coach. In 2004, he was inducted into the IFCA Coaches Hall of Fame. He served as the IFCA president in 2006 and 2007.
One of Jensen?s former football players, Beau Hampton, will be involved in tonight?s presentation of the award.
